    Bulletin

Thanks Marcel for your wonderful effort in editing the bulletin for the past year! It was always an entertaining and colourful magazine to read ...

Contrary to what Marcel wrote in his final bulletin of the 21st June, the position of editor is temporarily being filled by your publicity director. Please consider taking on the role of bulletin editor - we need you!

Cut-off for bulletin submissions is strictly 7pm Mondays and published Tuesday evening. - Ed.

    This week's meeting

Over the past two years our Rotary Club has assisted George Wilson who works closely with indigenous communities in Central Australia, Angas Downs. A group of Rotary enthusiasts visited the Indigenous Protected Area this June. You will see and hear:

  • How we helped to bring more water to the desert that is home to brumbies and wild camels
  • How a primary school in the local Imanpa village differs from a primary school in Canberra
  • How Vincent discovered a cave with unique aboriginal paintings
  • What it is like to sleep under the stars, enjoy colds showers and drive in a troop carrier across the red desert.

All served with a pinch of good humour and perhaps even gourmet witchetty grubs!
We look forward to seeing you all there - PP Bill Andrews, PP Liz Scrivener, Vincent Mahoney, Stephen McMillan, Vera Lipton, George Wilson and our fellow travellers David, Zoe, Ed and Catherine.
